If you allowed yourself to enter fully into the experience, you'll have noticed how much control you do in fact have over how you feel. Joseph Riggio, the designer of the MythoSelf Process, places considerable emphasis on the role that our body plays in how we experience our daily life. He goes to great lengths in his trainings to help people wake up to this ‘body-mind' connection, and to lead them to an awareness of themselves that's critical to true freedom, health and happiness. This month I'm going to present an exercise that will help you to further realise the massive potential that comes with increased self-awareness. Objective To deepen your experience of how you are when you're at your best. Exercise Part One Ask yourself the following question ... "How am I when I'm at my best?" - What does it feel like in your body? Part Two Imagine that your future happiness, and that of your children (if you have any) and loved ones (if you have any) depends upon you memorizing how you access X (the word or phrase that you chose earlier). Keep accessing X and study in detail everything you can about how you do it. It may be that you end up with a list that goes something like this: First I take a deep breath Or it may go something like this: I adjust my posture so I'm more open and I place the souls of my feet on the ground. A warm feeling begins just below my naval and it radiates slowly outwards in a clockwise direction until it reaches my extremities, and then that feeling extends out beyond me to infinity... Practice what ever it is that you do to access this resourceful state. Morning, noon and night, and lots in between too! Coming up in the next issue An exercise that will help you to connect your best state to going about your day-to-day life. 'till then ... Janice
