Last time, a short exercise showed how much control you genuinely have over your emotional state, simply by fully entering an experience rather than observing it from a distance. This instalment goes further into the body-mind connection that the MythoSelf Process treats as central, not incidental, to lasting change.
Start by asking: “How am I when I’m at my best?” Notice what that feels like physically. What sensations show up? What adjustments do you make to your posture without necessarily meaning to? What single word or phrase best captures this way of being, for you specifically?
Then take it further: imagine your future happiness (and that of the people you love) depends on being able to reliably recreate this state on demand. Study, in real detail, exactly how you access it. For some people that’s a specific physical sequence: a breath, a shift of the shoulders, a particular angle of the head. For others it’s more holistic: a warmth that begins in the body and radiates outward. Whatever form it takes for you, the task is the same: practice accessing it deliberately, repeatedly, until it’s reliably available rather than something that only shows up by accident.
The next stage connects this state to ordinary daily life: not as a peak experience reserved for special moments, but as something close to your default way of operating.
